Designed for individuals who want to know how to correctly deal with minor injuries and how to prepare themselves for serious medical emergencies.

Course Description

What will I learn in First Aid training?

First Aid Training Course in Edmonton

We offer the following First Aid & CPR courses from APex Training Solutions Inc.

  • Standard First Aid: A two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills
  • Emergency First Aid: Introduction to First Aid concentrating primarily on CPR skills, controlling bleeding, treating shock and respiratory matters
  • Level C CPR. This course covers CPR for infants, children, and adults
  • Child Care Standard First Aid: Provides parents or caregivers with vital information on first aid for their children and infants.
  • Standard First Aid Recertification: One-day Standard First Aid Re-certification course.
  • Standard First Aid (Basic Life Support Provider CPR): A two-day course that combines Basic Life Support Provider CPR and Standard First Aid

Why is a First Aid course important?

Knowing first aid gives people the confidence to help an injured person and helps save lives.

Who should attend?

Standard First Aid
Anyone who requires Standard First Aid. The most commonly required training course in the workplace.

Emergency First Aid:
Those who would like to learn basic CPR skills.

Level C CPR
If you are not a Healthcare Provider, or a prerequisite for work or school

Child Care Standard First Aid
Requirement for anyone who works with children in facilities such as daycares and day homes.

Standard First Aid Recertification
Anyone who has taken Standard First Aid and whose certification has not yet expired.

Standard First Aid (Basic Life Support Provider CPR):
Recommended for those who work or study as healthcare providers (i.e.: nursing, medicine, dentistry, chiropractic, rehabilitation etc.)

How long is the course?

Standard First Aid: 16 hours (2 days)

Emergency First Aid: 8 hours

Level C CPR: 6 Hours

Child Care Standard First Aid: 17 Hours (2 days)

Standard First Aid Recertification: 8 hours

Standard First Aid (Basic Life Support Provider CPR): 13 Hours (2 days)

Advertised prices are based on course delivery within 50 km of Edmonton. Cost may vary based on client needs and location. Course length may vary depending on class size, student interaction, and skill level of participants.

First Aid certificate

Upon successful completion of the First Aid course, a certificate of completion will be provided.
Re-certification: Every three years

Prerequisites

All students are required to bring government-issued identification. If verification is not provided, the student will not be permitted to take the course.

Cancellation: 24-hours notice is required for all cancellations

  • Late arrivals that are denied entrance to the class, or who fail to attend the class without notification (no-shows), will forfeit the full course fee.
  • Qualified substitutions will be allowed up to the course start date in lieu of forfeitures.
